Urban Space

Last month, the Bureau of Drawers and I had a show at Urban Light Studios, called "Economy of Line". We drew live at the studio space for the Greenwood Art Walk and put up our pieces throughout the night. I did some lil' space girl pin-ups and sold this one. They took about an hour apiece and were great fun.

I've moved some things around and changed the gallery formatting for the comic so now I can link to specific pages and it's easier to click through to the next on in the series (you can still click to make them bigger as well). Now to pick up the pace!

Week 2 is up, although it is a bit late due to a severe case of the "do-overs". I'm still unhappy with the last panel so it may get an overhaul before the next installment but it will come sooner rather than later.

My new series, "Rojo", starts today, with new installments each week. Join me as I mangle/ignore the history of Mexico and the American Southwest and scramble for photoreferences. I hope to continue this for awhile but the format and presentation may change over time - I consider this a learning experience and a way to hone my skills but I hope you will find it entertaining and stick with me.

The Friends of the Nib (a group I am proud to be a member of) is holding a group show at Howard House this month. Opening Dec. 3rd and going for the rest of the month, I'm told. Lots of great work available at bargain prices!
